Terms of Service

Short version: use Solvo in good faith, you own your data, we're a beta so no warranties. Full version below.

In plain English

1. Who you're agreeing with

Solvo is provided by Badgerlabs Pty Ltd ("Solvo", "we", "us"), an Australian company. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Badgerlabs Pty Ltd. By using Solvo you agree to them.

2. What Solvo does

Solvo helps Australian tradies and small businesses create quotes and invoices through natural conversation — text messages, voice notes, and photos. We generate PDF documents and deliver them to your clients by email or SMS.

Solvo uses AI (via AWS Bedrock and AWS Transcribe) to interpret your messages. AI is not perfect. Always review a generated document before sending.

3. Using Solvo responsibly

You agree to:

If you break these rules we may suspend or terminate your access without notice, and we may keep records for regulatory or legal reasons.

4. Your content

Everything you send through Solvo — messages, photos, voice notes, client details, the quotes and invoices we generate on your behalf — belongs to you. We don't claim ownership.

You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit your content purely to operate the service (hosting, delivery to your clients, AI extraction). You can revoke that licence by deleting your account — see our Privacy Policy.

5. Your clients' data

When you enter your clients' contact details into Solvo, you're acting as the data controller for that information under the Australian Privacy Principles. We process it on your instructions. You're responsible for having the authority to collect and share it.

6. Beta — no warranties, as-is service

Solvo is currently in beta. It's provided "as-is" and "as-available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by Australian law.

We do not warrant that:

Certain consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) cannot be excluded. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any right or remedy you have under the ACL if it applies to you.

7. Limitation of liability

Except for liability that cannot be excluded under Australian law, Badgerlabs Pty Ltd's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of Solvo is limited to AU$100 or the fees you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or incidental losses — including but not limited to lost revenue, lost profits, lost clients, or the cost of procuring substitute services — even if we knew such damage was possible.

8. Pricing and fees

Solvo is currently free to use during the beta. We reserve the right to introduce fees or paid tiers in the future. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days' notice before any changes take effect, and you will have the option to stop using Solvo at that point at no cost.

9. Termination

You can stop using Solvo at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, or if we need to shut down the service. If we terminate your account for any reason other than a breach, you can export your data first — email info@solvo.com.au.

10. Changes to the service and these Terms

We may update Solvo's features, interface, or these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we'll notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Solvo after a change means you accept the new Terms. If you don't agree, stop using the service.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and Badgerlabs Pty Ltd submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
